We’ve been going through the states of the Great Plains and analyzing what the most expensive ZIP codes are in each state there. We recently covered the most expensive ZIP codes in Kansas. Here, we’re moving west to Nebraska.

Many housing markets across the United States witnessed a surge in homebuying activity in starting in the second year of the pandemic, 2021, which continued until rate hikes cooled things off a bit. Affordability issues are more pronounced. Nebraska saw its home values appreciate, but not at the pace of some of the other states and their ZIP codes have. Read on to find out the most expensive ZIP codes in Nebraska in 2025, based on the latest data from Zillow’s home value index.

The Most Expensive ZIP Codes in Nebraska

We made use on data from Zillow’s home value index, plus the Census Bureau’s 2023 American Community Survey, we analyzed thousands of ZIP codes from all over the U.S. We zeroed in on the 464 ZIP codes tracked by Zillow in Nebraska. As part of our analysis, we took into consideration the latest monthly home values Zillow has — February 2025 — as well as the average of 12 months of median home values from March 2024 to February 2025.

The Top 5 Most Expensive ZIP Codes in Nebraska

ZIP code 68461 is the most expensive one in Nebraska. This ZIP code is centered on Walton, a town east of Lincoln. This ZIP code highlights an ongoing theme in our continuing analyses: Wealthy households and expensive homes pushing into predominantly rural areas. This is very much what’s going on in 68461, mainly in the western part of the ZIP code. More than a third of households earn $200,000 or more per year. The average household income is very high, both nationally and for Nebraska: $251,217. The median home value was already high back in February 2020, at $495,756. It proceeded to rise by 43.6% over five years, reaching $711,707 by February 2025.

The second most expensive ZIP code — 68058 — is small, just a sliver of land encompassing North Lake, with its northeastern border being the Platte River. The homes along the extensions of the Platte River are very nice, with plenty of boasts. More than two-fifths of households earn $150,000 or more. Interestingly, the median household income — $129,479 — is higher than the average — $125,348. Home values appreciated by more than half, with the median home value rising from $448,433 in February 2020 to $673,014 in February 2025.

The No. 3 most expensive ZIP code is 68430 and it is centered on Roca, a town south of Lincoln. Predominantly rural, ZIP code 68430 is high-income. The median household income is $126,458, while the average household income is $152,897. Over 62% of households earn $100,000 or more a year. Home value appreciation here was much more moderate over the last five years. From $434,057, the median home value grew by 36.9%, reaching $594,350 by February 2025.

The Bottom Line on the Most Expensive ZIP Codes in Nebraska

The top of our list of the most expensive ZIP codes in Nebraska is dominated by Lancaster County. This county is an upright rectangle encompassing Lincoln and its surrounding environs. It’s quite common in our studies to see the majority of a state’s most expensive ZIP codes being crowded around major urban centers.
