Interior designer Jeremiah Brent is known for many things—making AD’s 100 List and Elle Decor’s A-List, as well as being a media personality. Considering his success, he’s not one to get stepped on, yet his newest collaboration invites exactly that, in the best possible way.

In April 2025, he launched a collaboration with Loloi Rugs. One of the most popular rug brands right now, Loloi is perhaps best known not just for its vast selection of rugs in just about every style and size, but also for collaborating with everyone from Rifle Paper Company to Magnolia Home, Jean Stoffer, Brigette Romanek, and Amber Lewis. The brand also launched a furniture collection at the end of 2024 called Joon Loloi.

With over twenty new designs featuring abstract, geometric shapes, luxurious textures, and everlasting colors—in a mix of high-end handmade rugs and accessible power-loomed styles—there’s something for everyone and every room.

Here’s a look at the collection along with some of the designer’s best rug styling tips.

The Inspiration

While travel often has an influence on his work, Brent tells me this collection was inspired by the West Village neighborhood of New York. “In the Barrow and Bleecker collections, you’ll notice subtle nods to the village’s un-forced street grid. The low-piles and textural details nod to the charm of cobblestone streets – these references make the collection feel familiar yet fresh all at once.”

The designer adds, “In the same way that there are a million different routes to get you to one destination in New York, this collection celebrates carving your own path and personalization within design. There are countless ways to style your space with these pieces that feature unexpected shapes and applications within traditional references.”

The Perry Collection

One of the most notable collections in the collaboration is the Perry Rug. “I can’t imagine a home where the Perry rug in ivory would feel out of place. It’s a classic,” he says.
Made of hand-knotted wool and cotton, this rug offers the right mix of neutral with subtle geometric lines. It’s clean, chic and endlessly versatile.

Bleecker Collection

Named for the famous street, the Bleecker Collection has seven rugs, all of which are designed in neutral hues. JM Sand and JM Khaki stand out the most for both their borders and sophisticated simplicity. These could be used in both modern and contemporary homes. Those who are drawn to the collection but not sure what to get can choose something from this line with confience.

The Greenwich Collection

Hand-loomed of cotton and wool, the Greenwich Collection includes six sleek designs in unique colors. These are also easy to coordinate with Brent’s pillow collection. “The Greenwich in Merlot is one that I’m excited to place in tandem with the Sullivan pillows,” he says. “Both are bold in color but still have a calming element within a space. We recently stained the floors in our Montauk home black, and I can’t wait to see how it looks when layered in. Any room with lots of natural light will really showcase these pieces.”

The Barrow Collection

With six rugs, the Barrow Collection has both modern and contemporary options. The JM Camel and JM Moss have the same design in two distinct colors. What stands out the most is that these designs have a transitional vibe to work in a range of spaces. On the other hand, the other rugs in the Barrow Collection have a cool, masculine aesthetic to them.

How To Find The Perfect Rug

Finding the right rug for any space can feel daunting but Brent advises taking an emotional approach, thinking about how you want the space to feel. “Whether your answer is bold, warm, minimal, or unexpected, the rug will be one of the most influential and grounding elements. Make sure the pile, pattern, and palette align with your vision.”

It’s also crucial to find the proper size. “Ensure the rug is large enough to anchor the space. Also, make sure you love how the largest pieces of furniture pair with it. If you go with a bolder rug color, find smaller accessories with a similar palette (vase, accent pillow, or art) to place within the room, tying it all together.”
