How Remedy Place Is Transforming Wellness With Design, Innovation, And Community In Boston

Wellness starts with the right environment, and no one does it quite like Remedy Place. Founded in 2019, this innovative wellness hub recently opened its fourth location in Boston, following the success of its flagship clubs in Los Angeles and New York’s SoHo and Flatiron districts. Remedy Place offers a thoughtfully curated selection of experiences and tech-remedies ranging from AI-powered massages and sound baths to IV therapy and functional medicine, blending recovery, fitness, and self-care into a full lifestyle experience.

Founded by Dr. Jonathan Leary, Remedy Place is designed to be inclusive and accessible. In addition to membership options, the club offers à la carte bookings and welcomes walk-in guests, making it easy for everyone to access this immersive wellness experience.

Here’s a look inside Remedy Place Boston, along with the process of creating the brand’s latest location.

Remedy Place Hits Boston

While many people think of Los Angeles as a wellness-centric city, the East Coast has also evolved in recent years, particularly in Boston. “As a global hub for health, fitness, and innovation, Boston sits at the intersection of academic excellence, top-tier healthcare, and a passionate community driven by wellness,” explains Dr. Leary. “Boston has evolved significantly over the years. It was once a place where people came to attend school and often left, but now, they’re staying—and for good reason. Home to some of the world’s most prestigious universities and medical institutions, the city fosters a culture of education, curiosity, and self-improvement.”

Dr. Leary also realized that Boston doesn’t have as many established options, unlike cities such as Los Angeles—where wellness facilities like IV bars are seemingly on every corner. “The city has so much to offer, and the Seaport District, in particular, has become a flourishing neighborhood,” he shares.

Remedy Place’s Largest Location

Remedy Place Boston is the largest club to date, boasting 10000 square feet. This expanded space allowed Leary to introduce several offerings not available in other cities. For example, there are four unique experiences designed to foster both wellness and community.

This includes a Foam Bathing Suite, offering a sensorial sound and light experience for parties of four to six people. Yoga and mat Pilates classes are also available. Additionally, there’s a humid sauna for a deeper relaxation experience.

Another noteworthy amenity is the Communal Contrast Suite, which features design-forward cold plunge baths, a traditional sauna, a steam room, and showers for up to ten people. However, it can also be reserved for solo use.

An Aesthetic For Healing

Rooted in a philosophy of “designed to heal,” the look and feel of all Remedy Place clubs—Boston included—is chic, modern, and intentional.

“It’s the belief that good design has a direct, positive effect on your internal physiology, which is why all of our clubs are intentionally designed down to the smallest detail—so that everyone feels at ease from the moment they walk in,” says Dr. Leary.

Thoughtfully designed, the space features Venetian plaster walls, custom chocolate and titanium travertine stone elements, soaring 20-foot ceilings, and breathtaking views of the Boston skyline.

“It ensures an atmosphere that is as luxurious and expansive as it is restorative,” notes the founder.

The founder’s goal was to create a space that feels nothing like a traditional medical facility.

“I wanted to design an environment that feels like the antithesis of a typical medical or wellness space, which tends to be very sterile—stark white with fluorescent lighting,” reveals Dr. Leary. “This is about luxury, comfort, and connection. It’s a place you’d want to socialize in. From the lighting to the textures to the spatial flow, everything is designed to amplify how you feel and how you connect with others.”

Design Details That Matter

The founder designed several pieces of custom furniture for this location. “Not all of it, but in this club, I had the opportunity to design a few pieces. My favorite is the couch situated between the four hyperbaric chambers. It’s a perfect example of form meeting function—where thoughtful design enhances the guest experience. The velvet fabric, the rich color, the scale and placement—it’s simple yet powerful, and guests consistently stop to admire it.”

The IV lounges—designed with inspiration from first-class airline cabins—stand out as one of Remedy Place’s most thoughtfully crafted design features.

“They’re low-profile, offering just enough privacy without blocking the sweeping city views as guests walk by. The warmth and coziness of the setup makes you want to sink in, and once you do, you’re positioned at the perfect eye level to take in the skyline while enjoying an IV or lymphatic compression experience.”
