Momentum Returns to NYC’s Development Market After years of uncertainty, 2024 delivered a surge in development activity that surprised many in the industry. Development site sales reached $5.5 billion—a 45% increase over the prior year—with $2.4 billion (or 44%) of that volume tied to office-to-residential conversions.
